New Vicar for St. Thomas Orthodox Church of Washington D. C.

Rev. Fr. Andrew (Leeson) Daniel has been appointed as the new Vicar of St. Thomas Orthodox Church of Washington D. C., effective as of August 1, 2010.

Fr. Andrew, a native of Staten Island, New York, is a graduate of St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary and one of the first graduates of the Liturgical Training Program of Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam India. Fr. Andrew is the first celibate priest of the North American Church and has served as the Assistant Vicar of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church of New Hyde Park, New York.

Fr. Andrew Daniel relieves Rev. Fr. Varghese K. Joshua the previous Vicar of St. Thomas Church.
