St. Peter & St. Paul Church, Sparkill, NY Celebrates Silver Jubilee
St. Peter's & St. Paul's Orthodox Church of Sparkill, New York will celebrate their Patrons' Feast Day and Silver Jubilee of the parish on July 2, 3, & 4, 2010.
This parish is acclaimed to be the first Indian Christian Congregation in Rockland County, New York. Their first Holy Qurbana was celebrated in June 1985 at the United Methodist Church in Congers, and later moved to Christ Episcopal Church, Sparhill, in September 1985. The parish recalls the dedicated services of the all the former Vicars such as Very Rev. K. C. Mathews Chor Episcopos, Very Rev. Dr. M. E. Idiculla Chor Episcopos, Very Rev. Dr. P. S. Samuel Chor Episcopos, Rev. Fr. M. K. Kuriakose, Rev. Fr. Dr. K. K. Kuriakose, and Very Rev. T. M. Zachariah Chor Episcopos. The parish has witnessed many important and unique events such as the ordination of seven deacons in their parish in 1986 and the Oriental Orthodox Leaders Conference in 1988. This Church continues to worship at Christ Episcopal Church.

- 11AM - Holy Qurbana - His Grace Mathews Mar Barnabas is the celebrant
