Consecration of St. Basil's Orthodox Church of Franklin Square, NY

The consecration of St. Basil's Orthodox Church of Franklin Square, NY will be held on Friday, June 11 and Saturday, June 12 by the Metropolitans of the Northeast American Diocese, Their Graces Mathews Mar Barnabas and Zachariah Mar Nicholovos.

Established in 1990, St. Basil's Church has been growing under the able leadership of Rev. Fr. Thomas Paul.

St. Basil's is the only parish in the Northeast American Diocese that is open every evening for Vespers & Compline.

Schedule of the Consecration Service is as follows:

Friday, June 11

  • 6PM - Vespers, Compline & Rite of Consecration (Part 1)

Saturday, June 12

  • 8AM - Matins, Third Hour, Sixth Hour, Rite of Consecration (Part 2), followed by Divine Liturgy
  • 12:30PM - Souvenir Release
  • 1PM - Luncheon
