St. Mary's Orthodox Church of Linden, NJ Consecrated

On Friday, August 19th and Saturday, August 20th 2011 St. Mary's Orthodox Church Linden, NJ was consecrated by His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos. This is the culmination of a long struggle for the parish to have its own place of worship. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph and his exceptional fund raising abilities coupled with the hard work of Secretary Mr. Rajumon P. Thomas and Treasurer Mr. James Ninan and building coordinator Oommen Chacko, along with an ever supporting and prayerful congregation, long cherishing dream of owning a Church has now come true by the Grace of God.

Part I of the service was completed on Friday and was attended by Achens from neighboring churches including NY, NJ and PA. The Part II of the consecration was completed by Noon Saturday with a small public function where the parishioners felicitated His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos on his Birthday.

In his thoughtful culmination speech, Thrumani mentioned that the struggle has just begun. Rev. Fr. Sunny Joseph in his vote of thanks address also appreciated all the previous vicars that served this parish over the years.

Thousands of well wishers all over our Diocese should rejoin on this job well done. The parishioners of Linden are for ever grateful for all the support, prayers and monitory contributions received from everyone in making this happen.

Clergy present were:

Several Managing Committee members, Counsel Members and members from other churches in theTriState area attended the function.
