Holy Cross Indian Orthodox Mission Perunal 2010

The Feast of the Holy Cross and the Third Anniversary of the Holy Cross Indian Orthodox Mission were held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Union Theological Seminary (Lampman Chapel). Rev. Fr. Philip C. Abraham was the chief celebrant assisted by Rev. Dn. Philip Mathew, Rev. Dn. Daniel Mathai, Rev. Dn. Abraham (Vijay) Thomas, Rev. Dn. Abraham (Abey) George, Rev. Dn. James Cheriyan, and Seminarians Abraham (Philemon) Philip and Joel Mathew.

Following the Holy Qurbana, the Kalpana from the Diocesan Metropolitan appointing Fr. Paul Cherian as the Vicar of the Mission effective September 18 was read. A public meeting was held and felicitations were offered by Rev. Fr. Dr. K.K. Kuriakose, Rev. Fr. Philip C Abraham, and Rev. Dn. Daniel Mathai. Rev. Fr. Paul Cherian welcomed the gathering, Mr. Denis Joseph, Treasurer, released a new pamphlet with information pertaining to the goal of the Mission, Mr. Justin T John gave a brief update on the new Mission website, Ms. Sherin John introduced the committee members, and Ms. Sharon Koshy, Secretary, presented a small token of appreciation to Rev. Fr. Paulose Peter for his selfless service to the Mission and the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with benediction by Rev. Fr. Dr. K.K. Kuriakose. All present were provided breakfast.
