Philadelphia Leadership Camp

The stage is set for the 13th Annual MGOCSM Leadership Camp, which will be hosted by the dynamic MGOCSM leaders of the Philadelphia area, of the Northeast American Diocese.

More than 75 MGOCSM Leaders from the various corners of North America, will gather together at Kutztown University this Wednesday, July 24th, 2013 to participate in the Leadership Camp, held under the auspices of the MGOCSM of North America.

The conveners of the Philadelphia Leadership Camp, Mr. Georgie George and Mr. Libu Geevarghese, have been tirelessly working with their committee, under the guidance of Rev. Fr. V. M. Shibu, Vice President of the MGOCSM of the Northeast American Diocese, and Rev. Dn. Daniel (Dennis) Mathai, General Secretary of the MGOCSM of North America. Rev. Fr. Gheevarghese John, Assistant Vicar of St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church of Philadelphia, served as the committee's spiritual adviser.

Throughout the Leadership Camp, the main speakers, His Grace Bishop Michael, Bishop of the Diocese of New York & New Jersey of the Orthodox Church in America, and former Dean of St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary, Pennsylvania, and Rev. Fr. John Diamantis, Director of the Department of College Ministry for the Diocese of New York & New Jersey of the Orthodox Church in America, will lead sessions on Christian Leadership.

The MGOCSM Council of North America, and General Assembly of the MGOCSM of North America will also meet during the camp.

The Philadelphia Leadership Camp will formally begin with Sh'himo Namaskaram in English, led by His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, Metropolitan, President of the MGOCSM of North America, along with the esteemed Priests, Deacons, and the MGOCSM Council of North America.

The annual Leadership Camp will end with Holy Qurbana, on Saturday, July 27th, 2013, along with the closing ceremonies, where they will pass the torch off to the hosting region of next year's MGOCSM Leadership Camp.
