St. Thomas' Philadelphia PA 2011 Annual Harvest Festival on September 17, 2011
The 2011 Annual Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, 1009 Unruh Avenue Philadelphia, PA. The Harvest festival, an unique event of the St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, is colorful with variety of activities organized by the spiritual organizations of the parish. This year’s programs include Ottamthullal by Mr. Varghese Abraham and dance programs by Aji Panicker’s Dance Group and Baby Thadavanal’s Dance Group. The day will be filled with songs and skits by local artists also. Sunday School organizes stores with household items and other articles, MGOCSM organizes exciting indoor games, OCYM organizes the 'Five Star Thattukada' serving all day long breakfast, including Masala Dosa and Omlet, Martha Mariam Samajam organizes a Textiles' store selling sarees and other dress items and jewelry, along with providing delicious lunch, and Mens' Forum is preparing a Yard Sale. Meal tickets bought for $6 per person will provide breakfast and lunch. An American auction to win an IPad (16GB) will be held during the day.
The program is completely organized by the St. Thomas' parish under the leadership of Vicar Rev. Fr. M. K. Kuriakose and Assistant Vicar Rev. Fr. Gheevarghese John. A big group of volunteers has already started preparations which will heat up more in the coming weeks. We welcome you all to this wonderful event!
