Breaking Down the Walls - Facebook Live Event
In the days following the tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of police officers,
protest rallies have erupted throughout the nation. Following this, our Metropolitan has issued a
statement
sharing the death of Mr. Floyd "is met with a great sense of outrage, and anger, by all who love justice."
As a faith community it is imperative we address the racial injustices happening in our society,
and how it plays a role in the Indian American community.
Our Diocese will be hosting a Facebook live event on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 7PM (EST) on its official
Facebook page. This event will include a discussion
co-facilitated by our Diocesan Metropolitan, His Grace Zachariah Mar Nicholovos, and a lay leader of our Diocese,
Mr. Sunil Kurian, JD, MBA. The format includes discussion where participants may type in your questions and comments to engage in real-time.
His Grace, Metropolitan Nicholovos hopes this Facebook live event will be an avenue to empower Orthodox Christians and all
people who love justice, to break down the walls of racism that separate us.
Join the conversation on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 7PM (EST) on our official
